as an American/Maryland resident, I am grateful for your video from IAM TT. Some want to go to London, some want to go to Paris, for 30 years or more, I've dreamed of spending a week or so at the TT. Thank you for taking me up close and personal to the racers, the races, and the environment.

Well done Kate! And was waiting for the next ride on the Shotgun. I find my older R1200RT handles better than the Interceptor, except for the weight... still I find the 650 fun to ride - and with exhaust and DNA filter upgrades, performance is much improved too.

Hope to get the chance to ride myself within a few weeks. Looking forward to it! Another great video Kate! 👍

As a very happy owner of one of these bikes, I can say that I think they are fantastic, I love mine. It is definitely not a sports-bike, I don't that's a valid comparison. I think it's a cool, sporty, modern cruiser with some old-school style, and has the attitude and handling to make it more fun and nimble than a lot of cruisers. And keep that child-like playfulness and optimism - I love it, and we need more of it in the world!

I bought one of these just as a weekend toy, I have the full seat on and don't see it as a cruiser or a bobber. It's a roadster, just like any Japanese bike I owned in the 80s and 90s. Simple basic road use bike, with decent handling. She is far too heavy to have sporty pretensions really, but has character by the ton. The sound and feeling of that engine is I why I bought it. If I'd wanted anything other than this as a play toy, I would have bought it!

It's an old man's cruiser. Not much power and easy seating position. 240kg is heavy for a 650. My old Varadero 1000 was only a touch heavier.

Does it come with the hard cover rear cowl???

Everyone I know who have owned the Interceptor hates the seat. Love the bike but can't ride any distance on it. I'm hoping the Shotgun has a much better seat, guess I'll find out once I get to test ride one in a month or so.

Great video. I’m picking up my R1300GS in a couple of weeks! It was a nice bonus seeing my brother’s business Dandys Topsoil as you rode along Sealand Road.

I love my Continental GT and they are fun, fabulous bikes. While the GT does have slightly rear set pegs and clipons it is a retro sports bike from the sixties not a modern one and that comes out if you try to push it on that skinny back tire.

No one with measureable brain function would consider this a sportsbike. It’s got a steel frame and skinny tyres for a start.

Only a few minutes in, but man was that overtake slow. This thing needs ditching the exhausts for something lighter, ditch the centre stand, fit a lithium battery, and see where else any weight can be shed. Then order the Hitchcocks big bore kit........ Then it'll have the kind of output it needs to get past traffic safely. It's not about speed, or being a sportsbike - but you do want to get up to speed, and get past things, safely.

A touring bike that uses a motor with no counter balancer. Great. I wish things would be as cool as they seem. The r1250RS is probably the perfect bike (judging as a GSA owner)….so I’d rather risk one of those. Oh wait, R1300RS?!?!?!?

Dam good bike for the money, spend a bit more for reasonable quality rear shocks and it will handle better and be more comfortable, 👍
